Home -> Empty Trash

Edith already posted about our action-packed holiday vacation. Since then, what passes for "news" is that we have been trying to clean out and organize our house a little bit. It has been a long, slow process, but we are making progress. Edith cleaned her office and closet, and moved all her sewing stuff out to the apartment. The old "sports clothes drying room" (ostensibly a living room, or something) is looking more like someplace you could live in for a while. The basement laundry area has been significantly emptied and is still in the process of getting converted into a winter clothing/declothing area. My workshop area was rearranged a bit, in order to facilitate the building of cheap utility basement furnishings (more on this later). The rest of the basement also got some cleanup and rearranging, with more to come.

As you might expect, this has generated a lot of waste to be brought to transfer station. I think the first trip filled my car more than any other trip I can remember. There is almost as much stuff still waiting at home for this week!

From warm to cold and CUTE!

Upon returning from SC, we found our yard quite a bit clearer than when we left.

We weren't satisfied with the weather here, so we thought we'd find someplace colder. In the process we were treated to some serious cuteness.

December 27

And the next day...

We went to the driving range, went into Charleston (no pictures) for lunch with my parents and then stopped at Angel Oak (a very big tree that Brian had never seen) on the way home. I did my impression of a Zombie (BRAINS!)

and Brian established himself as he-who-turns-off-bracketing.

12-26-08

When I left off, I was still talking about Christmas day. The day after Christmas, we went for a nature walk (Brian, Edith, Mom Pf., Dad Pf. and Dad F.) I took pictures of people too, but they didn't come out nicely so there.
